In the scope of WP4, the development of the content of 9 modules, each takes 10 hours and total 90 hours, has been started. These modules are; Introduction to Food Safety, Food Chemistry, Food Microbiology, Physical and Other Biological Agents, Food Safety Technologies, Primary Production-Animal, Primary Production-Agricultural, HACCP, Inspection and Audit.
The content of the modules are planning to be completed until June 2007. After transferring them into e-learning and last control, the 1st training session is planning to be held in December 2007.

Antioxidants and Mortality
The largest analysis of data on antioxidant vitamins ever conducted has shown that beta-carotene, vitamin A, and vitamin E probably increase mortality. Two other antioxidant substances — vitamin C and selenium — had no effect on mortality.

The meta-analysis of 68 randomized trials with a total of 232.606 participants, published in the February 28 issue of JAMA.
